Cape Town City confirmed parting ways with one of their players and have provided details on the deal and his destination.
As reported by the Siya crew on Wednesday, midfielder Zukile Kewuti was expected to join AmaZulu during this transfer window, and the move has since been confirmed by the Citizens.
The 25-year-old has joined the KwaZulu-Natal giants and will reunite with his former coach, Benni McCarthy.
“City’s Zukile Kewuti will spend the remainder of the season on loan at AmaZulu. Best of luck to Nyanga’s finest,” City confirmed on the club’s official Twitter account.
Kewuti will be competing with the likes of Makhehleni Makhaula and Xola Mlambo for a place in Usuthu's midfield.
The player will hope to get more minutes under his belt for the second half of the season under Benni McCarthy, after struggling for game-time under Jan Olde Riekerink with only one substitute appearance in the league this season.
