A Portuguese-Angolan international goalkeeper has been announced as a signing for one of the DStv Premiership clubs.
Cape Town City have confirmed the capture of Hugo Marques, who joins other new signings in Darren Keet and Bongani Mpandle in the team’s goalkeeping department.
“The club is delighted to announce the signing of Portuguese-Angolan international goalkeeper Hugo Marques! Welcome Patrão,” City confirmed on the club’s official Twitter account.
Marques becomes the seventh signing for the Mother City outfit as coach Eric Tinkler and his technical team are leaving no stone unturned in preparing for the new season.
Apart from goalkeepers Keet and Mpandle, the Citizens have also bolstered their ranks with the addition of Democratic Republic of the Congo defender Nathan Idumba Fasika and young right-back Patrick Fisher, as well as the midfield duo of Katlego Mokhuoane and Khanyisa Mayo in this transfer window.
