Ex-Amakhosi Man Surfaces At Wits
Camaldine Abraw Is At Bidvest Wits After Leaving Kaizer Chiefs
Former Kaizer Chiefs striker, Camaldine Abraw, arrived at Bidvest Wits today to start training with the reigning Absa Premiership champions.
It was announced in June that the 26-year-old would be leaving the Amakhosi after making just 17 starts in two seasons since his move from Free State Stars and the Siya crew reported on Tuesday that he had become a target for the Clever Boys.
A source explained on Monday, “Camaldine Abraw is likely to join Wits. He landed in Mzansi today. He has been overseas for the holidays. He is expected to be on his way to Wits. Expect negotiations to be started for the player by the club.”
Now, according to Siya sources, Abraw has been spotted training with Gavin Hunt’s team as the 2016/17 Coach of the Year takes a look at the Togolese forward as a possible acquisition for the new campaign.
It remains to be seen how long the forward will be given to impress Hunt and his technical team, although he will no doubt be a little off the pace, given that he hasn’t played a competitive game since May 2016.
