Franklin Cale will undergo his medical at Ajax Cape Town today, which should ultimately lead to the 30-year-old signing for the Urban Warriors, following reports that he is in Cape Town and negotiating with the club.
As previously reported, Cale is keen on returning to the club, although he has a year left to run on his contract with SuperSport United. With the arrival of Thuso Phala and David Mathebula at SuperSport, it is believed that Cale has opted to seek a move away from the Tshwane-based side.
In other news from the Ajax camp, the Slovenian goalkeeper who is on trial with the side is training with the rest of the club’s goalkeepers, who are preparing for the new season.
Ajax Cape Town Media and Communications Officer, Mark Meyer, informed the Siya crew that he is being assessed by the Ajax technical team.
“He is training with the rest of the keepers here. He only arrived here last week. The technical team is putting them through their paces at training. He will be assessed by the technical team this week,” said Meyer.
