CAF have announced the final nominations for their 2013 awards, with the winners due to be announced on January 9.
The awards are annually handed out by Africa’s football governing body as they seek to reward the best players and teams on the continent.
With regards to the African Player of the Year, a final three of Yaya Toure, Didier Drogba and John Obi Mikel have been selected, while Ahmed Fathy, Mohamed Aboutrika and Sunday Mba are the trio nominated for the African-based African Player of the Year award.
Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates, who made it through to the final of this year’s CAF Champions League, are nominated alongside the eventual winners, Al Ahly, and CAF Confederation Cup champions, CS Sfaxien, for the Club of the Year award.

Fair Play Award
Coach of the Year
Most Promising Talent
Papa Bakary Gassama
The winners will be announced at the GLO-CAF Awards Gala on January 9th which will be held in Lagos, Nigeria.
