The Siya crew can reveal that the opening match of the Telkom Knockout between Mpumalanga Black Aces and Orlando Pirates has been rescheduled to Tuesday, October 8.
Pirates were due to face Aces in what was to be the start of their Telkom Knockout campaign on October 2, however the Siya crew has learnt that the match will be postponed due to Bucs’ CAF Champions League commitments.
Bucs will take on Tunisian side Esperance at the Orlando Stadium on October 5, in the first leg, while the second leg of the CAF Champions League semi-final tie is scheduled to take place on October 19.
PSL communications officer Luxolo September confirmed to the Siya crew that the match will indeed be postponed, however the match will take place on Tuesday, October 8.
September told Soccer-Laduma, “At the moment I can only confirm that the match has definitely been postponed. I cannot say much more because nothing else has been finalised.”
Bucs have had a series of postponements due to their CAF Champions League involvement, and their Telkom Knockout clash with Aces will now be added to the growing list.
