Following their tough schedule where they had to face Al Ahly in a do-or-die CAF Champions League game and Soweto rivals Kaizer Chiefs in the MTN8, the Orlando Pirates players have been given the day off to recover.
Pirates drew with Ahly, finishing second in Group A, therby qualifying for the Champions League semi-finals.

The Buccaneers then held Chiefs to a 1-1 draw in the second leg of their MTN8 semi-final fixture, which was enough to see them through to the final of the MTN8. They won the tie 2-1on aggregate, following their 1-0 win in the first leg.

Pirates PRO Mickey Modisane told the Siya crew that the Pirates players deserve the rest following their remarkable achievement of qualifying for both the Champions League semi-finals and the MTN8 Final.
“They have been given a day off to spend with their friends and families. They’ll resume training tomorrow morning,” said Modisane.
Pirates will take on Platinum Stars in the final of the MTN8 on Saturday.
