Bucs’ Mhlongo Not Ready For Game Time
Despite starting full-time training with the rest of his teammates after a quick recovery from knee surgery, Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Brighton Mhlongo is said to be a way off from being ready for appearance.
A Soccer Laduma source at the club told the Siya crew that the team wants the former Under 23 national team player to be ready for the CAF Confederation Cup finals next month.
The source said that the physical trainers and the goalkeeper coach are giving him until month end before he can start playing.
"From the way I look at it, he will be ready for the Soweto derby and that is month end. He has recovered but they won't just rush him into action. We know that they need him more in Africa and I think they want him to be ready for the finals (CAF) as well," the source concluded.
