Grobler Loves Playing Chiefs & Pirates…
Bradley Grobler was the hero as SuperSport United beat Kaizer Chiefs to a spot in the MTN8 final, but the Amakhosi aren’t the only Soweto giant that the striker likes scoring against.

The 30-year-old striker, who is currently on camp with Bafana Bafana, has scored six goals against Chiefs and six against Orlando Pirates over the course of his career – also grabbing four assists – and has directly contributed to 16 goals in 34 games in total.
Grobler scored three in two games against the Glamour Boys last month to improve his ratio against them, while his form against the Buccaneers has been going impressive since the 2015/16 season.
His record against the Soweto giants has actually seen Grobler score more goals against Chiefs and Pirates (six) than any other team in his career, followed by Moroka Swallows, Platinum Stars (now Cape Umoya United) and Bloemfontein Celtic.
In terms of winning games though, Grobler has won just 32% of his 34 matches with the Soweto giants, losing 15 and drawing six over the course of his professional career, a record he will be hoping to improve on going forward.
Interestingly, the next match that the forward will play domestically will be against Pirates in the Absa Premiership, and he’ll be eager to take his form v Chiefs into that clash on September 15th.
