Following the interest from AFC Bournemouth, two more English Championship sides, Middlesbrough and Blackburn Rovers, have shown an interest in Malmo striker Tokelo Rantie.
The Siya crew recently revealed that Bournemouth had their bid of around €300,000 (+/- R4 million) turned down by Rantie’s Swedish club as interest in him mounts due to his fine form.
The 22-year-old was once again on target for Di Blae last weekend, taking his league tally to seven goals so far this season, while grabbing a goal in the Europa League.
Now, word reaching the crew is that both Boro and Rovers have displayed an interest in landing the Bafana Bafana striker and could well approach Malmo before the transfer window slams shut on August 31.
Rantie is hot property at the moment and with interest seemingly increasing by the week, it may prove difficult for Malmo to keep batting off his potential suitors.
However, one plus for the Swedish outfit is that Rantie is happy at the club and is not seeking a move away.
Having paid out a reasonable fee for the striker when they bought him from Hassleholm, Malmo will be eager to receive a substantial sum if they are to consider allowing their star striker to enter into discussions with another team.
