Former SuperSport United defender, Danleigh Borman, seems almost certain to sign on the dotted line for Mpumalanga Black Aces.
The 28-year-old has been on trial with Black Aces for the past few weeks, after being released by SuperSport at the end of last season. The left back also had a brief trial spell with Wits in the pre-season period but the club eventually opted to sign Keamogetse Wolff instead.
Borman boasts a decent pedigree after, earlier in his career, spending time with Toronto and New York Red Bulls in Major League Soccer in America. With that said, the defender is yet to establish himself in the PSL.
Nonetheless, Black Aces' coach, Clive Barker, has revealed to the Siya crew that a deal to sign Borman is likely to be done very soon.
He said, "Danleigh is a lovely person and player. He certainly would give us the back-up we need at left back. We've only got Omar Hendricks there at the moment and we really need a left-footed guy in the team. It seems pretty much 99% certain we will sign him."
