Sundowns Loanee Takes Aim At Kaizer Chiefs
Platinum Stars striker, Bongi Ntuli, has set his sights on hurting Kaizer Chiefs after scoring his fourth goal of the season – in all competitions, earlier this week.
Ntuli was the hero on Wednesday evening as Dikwena picked up an important victory over Polokwane City – only their second win of the season, to move up to 13th in the Absa Premiership following a difficult start.
The 26-year-old Mamelodi Sundowns loanee has three league goals to his name so far this season but is hoping to add to that tally against a struggling Amakhosi side on the back of their defeat to Chippa United.
He said in a press release, “It’s going to be a difficult game, and we are playing against a big team. We are playing at home so we have to win. We have told ourselves that we have to win all our home games. We have to continue playing the way we have been playing, and we shouldn’t think that we are playing a big team or what, because on the pitch it’s 11 against 11. We have to focus on getting the three points.
“The Chiefs game is very important for us to win. Since they come from a loss, it’s going to be difficult for us. We have to work harder than them in order to win. I would like our supporters to come in numbers to rally behind us and we will make them proud.”
Despite six places separating them in the league table at present, Stars could go within just one point of the Glamour Boys with a victory, and could potentially end the weekend in the top 10 if other results go their way.
