There has been plenty of speculation surrounding the 22-year-old Bafana Bafana international of late, with Portuguese Primeira Liga outfit, Vitoria de Guimaraes, having a R6 million offer for him rejected.
As reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma, it is thought that Zungu has already made up his mind about pursuing a move overseas, and that he will not be signing a new contract at Chloorkop when his current one expires at the end of this season.
Zungu, who will miss tonight’s clash with Ajax Cape Town through suspension, will be able to sign a precontract elsewhere in January and make a move for free at the end of the season as things stand.
While Kaizer Chiefs are one of the teams believed to be keeping a very close eye on the midfield man, the player himself is focused on moving to Europe, not to another South African club.
