SuperSport Close In On Another Signing
Bongani Khumalo Is Closing In On A Return To SuperSport United
SuperSport United are likely to secure another new signing in the next few days, with a Bafana Bafana international set to join the club for the third time.
It was revealed recently that the former Tottenham Hotspur defender was back training with Matsatsantsa after leaving Bidvest Wits, with the club on the hunt for a centre back to help out the likes of Morgan Gould and Clayton Daniels.
Khumalo was linked to Kaizer Chiefs at one stage, although it appears that it is more increasingly likely that he will be back with the Tshwane club when the 2018/19 Absa Premiership season gets underway next weekend.
The Siya crew managed to get into contact with Khumalo’s agent, Glyn Binkin, who says that he hopes to have things sorted by the end of this week.
He explained, “I’m very confident that Bongs’ future with SuperSport will be resolved in the next 24-48 hours.”
Khumalo first joined SuperSport from the University of Pretoria in 2007, before returning to the club after a stint in Europe in 2015.
