Polokwane City coach, Boebie Solomons, believes Kaizer Chiefs are vulnerable ahead of Rise and Shine's clash with the Glamour Boys on Wednesday (April 16).
Chiefs recently lost back-to-back matches against Mamelodi Sundowns and Black Aces in the PSL, and now find themselves trailing Downs by three points in the PSL title race.
However, Stuart Baxter's charges did bounce back with a 2-0 victory over SuperSport United in the Nedbank Cup this past Saturday (April 14), meaning that the Amakhosi's confidence could be returning as they prepare for the away trip to Pietersburg.
Nonetheless, City mentor, Solomons has expressed his view that Chiefs' uncertain run of late could be something his club could look to exploit.
He told the Siya crew, "Yes, they are vulnerable at the moment but they're still a very good team. As much as they're not at their best now, it's still a very dangerous time to play them. We'll approach the game like we do all the top teams. You've got to respect them for the skill and talent that they have. But, we've got to focus on our game."
Solomons added that City's tough battle against relegation was also dependent on results other teams achieve in the bottom three, "Everything is relative. If Free State Stars keep losing then maybe we don't need another win. We've just got to keep picking up as many points as possible at home. Look, a point against Chiefs will be like gold. Every point we get is like gold. We'll try to get something out of the game against Chiefs."
Wednesday's action gets underway from 19h30 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Limpopo.
