Bloemfontein Celtic say that after ‘numerous complaints’ they’ve been forced to make drastic changes for their upcoming home games that were due to be played in the Free State.
Siwelele have had a good start to the year having drawn with Orlando Pirates, beaten Stellenbosch and picked up three more points against Black Leopards at the weekend, making it seven points from a possible nine in 2020 so far.
Now though, a spanner may have been thrown in the works regarding their home venue after they confirmed that they would be moving their matches to Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in the Eastern Cape for the foreseeable future following several complaints from ‘visiting teams and club officials’.
A statement from the club today said, “Due to numerous complaints from visiting teams and PSL officials, our home ground, Dr. Molemela Stadium, will undergo pitch fixing and dressing room renovations. Unfortunately these renovations will cause our game against Chippa United and other upcoming home fixtures to (be played) at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium up until the pitch has fully recovered and we are done with renovations.
“The club shall release a statement soon as to when the fixtures will go back to Dr Molemela Stadium.”
