Bloemfontein Celtic is keen to sign Musa Bilankulu on a permanent deal. The defender has done well for the side under Ernst Middendorp in the short time he has been with Siwelele since signing a loan deal in January.
Bilankulu is originally from Wits, having joined the Braamfontein outfit from Golden Arrows at the beginning of the season. He moved to Celtic in January after a lack of enough game-time under Gavin Hunt at The Students.
The player’s agent, Josiah Mphono, confirmed to the Siya crew that Celtic is keen to keep Bilankulu in Mangaung permanently.
“I spoke to Wits and I have spoken to Celtic about Musa. We had our discussions already. Musa is happy at Celtic. He has done well there since his arrival at the club. I think he has played more than 10 games for the team in the league and cup (Nedbank). I had a discussion with Celtic last week and they are very keen on the player. They are keen on a permanent transfer,” said Mphono.
Celtic was left thin in defence after the departure of the team’s former captain and Bafana Bafana defender, Thabo Nthethe.
