Bloemfontein Celtic are said to be keen on acquiring the services of Mamelodi Sundowns defender Mario Booysen and midfielder Lindokuhle Mbatha.
Both Booysen and Mbatha have not featured in Pitso Mosimane’s plans during this campaign, suggesting that their departure is imminent.
University of Pretoria appeared to be keen on signing the duo in an attempt to climb their way up the table and out of the relegation zone however the club are understood to have baulked at the size of players’ salaries.
Siya sources have confirmed that Phunya Sele Sele are looking to lure the Masandawana duo to the City of Roses in the hope of securing their services on-loan.
“Mamelodi Sundowns are said to be considering the loan deals for two of their players, namely Mario Booysen and Lindokuhle Mbatha, ” said the Siya source.
"Celtic are particularly keen on signing Mario Booysen and could even attempt to secure him on a permanent deal.
“Siwelele see Booysen as a future replacement for ageing captain Bevan Fransman and if possible they would like to land the former Maritzburg United player on a permanent basis.”
Having recently off-loaded key players in Musa Bilankulu and Gabadinho Mhango, Celtic will look to bolster their squad in a bid to finish in the top-eight of the league standings.
