Bloemfontein Celtic have put up a ‘not for sale’ sign on Lerato Lamola, after it emerged that SuperSport United are keen on his services.
The Tembisa-born striker joined Phunya Sele Sele from National First Division club Roses United at the beginning of the season and has been making a name for himself and scoring important goals for the team.
He has started nine league games so far and scored five goals in all competitions.
The Siya crew has heard from reliable sources that Matsatsantsa a Pitori have targeted the player for next season, but at this stage it does not seem they have a chance of securing his signature, as Ernst Middendorp regards Lamola as an integral part of his plans.
“No, we have not heard anything about SuperSport being interested in Lerato Lamola.
"Anyway, he’s not for sale,” said Celtic technical director, Mich d’Avray, when confronted with the rumour.
