Bloemfontein Celtic defender, Limbikani Mzava, will have to sit on the sidelines for some time as he continues to nurse his injury.
The Malawian player was one of the regular players in the team last season, but sustained a hamstring injury late last year and has been out since then. He was set to make a permanent comeback to action, but will have to wait a little longer to return to playing. He played in the Nedbank Cup Last 16 win over Witbank Spurs, but aggravated his injury and has been out since then.
It has not been a good season for Mzava, who will perhaps have to look to next season in order to establish his name once again. The likes of Clayton Daniels, Wandisile Letlabika and new recruit, Alfred Ndengane, have done well in defence and, with only six games remaining to the season, the 20-year-old star’s season could well be over, although it is said he is doing light training already.
Last season, the player was on the wanted list of a few overseas clubs, but Celtic did all they could to hang on to him, as they see him as a great asset in the team. His contract with Ernst Middendorp’s side expires in June 2015.
