Black Leopards coach Kosta Papic admits that mistakes and poor finishing cost his side a place in the Absa Premiership next season.
A 2-1 loss to Polokwane City on Sunday in the final promotion/relegation playoff match saw their chances of a place in the top flight extinguished after finishing second in the mini-league playoff table.
Speaking after the game Papic thought his side were the better team on the day, but berated his side for their lack composure in front of goal.
“Mistakes always cost us, it cost us in the last match, but in my opinion we played better today and we were the better team,” said Papic.
“They (strikers) tried (to put the ball in the back of the net), but they could not, maybe next time we are going to try and we will score, but there is no more next time.
“We didn’t convert our chances.
“Unfortunately, it is not our time, maybe next time.”
