Bivest Wits confirm Majoro signing

By Soccer Laduma - Dec 27, 2017 03:36 PM

Bidvest Wits have confirmed the signing of Lehlohonolo Majoro, following his exit from Cape Town City.

City announced this morning that Majoro would be leaving the Cape-based outfit, and it was subequently revealed that The Students was his likely destination.

The Braamfontein-based outfit have now confirmed the new, stating that he will officially be part of their set-up in January, with the player expected to be registered on January 2, once the tranfer window officially opens up.

Wits tweeted on their officical Twitter account, stating, “Bidvest Wits is pleased to announce the signing of Lehlohonolo Majoro with effect from 1 January 2018. Welcome to the Clever Boys family.”

Majoro is no stranger to playing for a big club in Gauteng, having turned out for Orlando Pirates in the past.

Coach Gavin Hunt should have the player available for selection in their first league outing of 2018, against Free State Stars, on January 5.

@blackmeteor, yes. Generally, Cape Town based clubs struggle to keep their best players.

Good signing! He will help them come out of that relegation zone but 1 thing I am worried about, too many old players in that Wits squad which makes it very difficult to recover from their current drought

@blackmeteor, yeah, you must remember that the majority of Cape Town City players were not willing to relocate to Cape Town at the beginning of last season. I expect Ngoma to come to Gauteng.

@setlaboswana It worries me that my 2nd choice team (Cape KC.........LOL) is bleeding key players and that they may become a "selling club" like my beloved Gunners

If Downs can overcome complacency, they should have no problem in taking the league title this season.
