Zimbabwe playmaker Khama Billiat was honoured to scoop the Man of the Match award after his lively display in their 2-1 win over Bafana Bafana on Tuesday night.
The Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder played a major role in attack for the Warriors as he kept the South African defence on their toes constantly.
"It is a great honour for me to win Man of the Match against this national team (South Africa). We know it is a strong side. For us it was something that we had to prepare for, with some of the local guys who are going to play the CHAN tournament, so we had to take it serious.
"I am so happy with the win, playing away, it is always tough playing away. It was tough. We had to cope with them. It was an up and down game.
"They had chances, but not a lot. We created a lot but we had to score more. Hopefully next time it will be better."
Knowledge Musona, who got on the scoresheet with a thumping finish, was equally satisfied with the result.
"I think we had a good game, the team played very well and we managed to defend throughout the 90 minutes. So I am so happy for the team and also for the coach. I think my confidence is coming back now, so I am looking forward to doing more like this when I play for my club and the national team," said the Kaizer Chiefs forward.
