Word reaching the Siya crew is that Bidvest Wits are chasing AmaZulu defender, Sifiso Hlanti, and could bring him in on loan before today’s deadline.

The South African January transfer window is set to slam shut at 17h00 today, and it appears that the Clever Boys are looking to bring in one last player before shutting up shop.

Hlanti, 25, has been a target of Wits’ for a while now, and it appears that they are looking to bring him in as cover as they prepare to battle it out for the 2015/16 Absa Premiership title.

The full-back has played six games for Usuthu so far this season, and is clearly not in the club’s plans, so it is thought that Wits are looking to try and bring him in on a short-term basis.

According to Siya sources, Hlanti’s current deal with AmaZulu will expire at the end of the current season, and he is eager to try and make a return to the Absa Premiership.
