Wits striker Calvin Kadi had surgery on his knee on Saturday, and has confirmed that everything went successfully.
Kadi, who scored four goals in his 21 appearances this past season, picked up the injury against Orlando Pirates on the 17th of May.
Kadi confirmed that the surgery was successful on his personal Facebook page, alongside an image of him in hospital giving the thumbs up.
In the 2011/2012 season Kadi grabbed the headlines when he helped Greek side Veria gain promotion to the Super League, with 20 goals in the season, but he chose to return to South Africa two seasons ago, and has managed just ten league goals in that period.
His Wits team-mate, Papy Faty, also recently underwent knee surgery.
