Bidvest Wits have announced the signing of Simon Murray from Scottish Premiership team Hibernian FC, bolstering their striking department.

The Siya crew recently reported that the 26-year-old, who spent half of the season on loan with Dundee in 2017/18, was due to undergo an assessment with the Clever Boys, and it appears he impressed Gavin Hunt so much that they decided to offer him a deal.

According to reports in Scotland, Wits have opened their chequebooks to sign Murray from Hibs, with a figure of £150,000 (around R2.6m) being accepted by the Scottish club in return for the forward's signature.

Murray scored 17 goals in 42 games in all competitions for Hibernian and Dundee last season, and earlier this month played in a Hibs’ UEFA Europa League qualifier. He has 94 direct goal contributions (60 goals, 34 assists) from 151 games.

Only set the fixtures a few weeks before the league starts. PSL are a joke run terrible. English premier league fixtures are announced a few weeks after the season ends.
