Wits Submit R2.5m Ntshangase Bid, Nothing From Chiefs
Bidvest Wits have submitted a bid worth R2.5m for Black Leopards’ Siphelele Ntshangase, while Kaizer Chiefs have only enquired about his availability.
There has been plenty of speculation surrounding the 23-year-old in recent months following an impressive campaign in 2015/16 for Lidoda Duvha - with Chiefs, Wits and others all known to be interested in signing him.
Leopards’ management is believed to be holding out for around R5m if they are to let him leave, and the Siya crew has been informed that Wits have submitted an offer worth R2.5m, with Leopards yet to respond..
Meanwhile, as previously reported by Soccer Laduma, Chiefs have approached Leopards regarding the availability of the talented attacking midfielder, but are yet to submit an official bid of any kind to the National First Division outfit.
It is thought that the player himself would prefer a move to Naturena if given the choice, although at this moment in time the Clever Boys are the only club to have shown themselves to be serious in trying to lure him away from Leopards in the current window.
As things stand, Ntshangase is still with Lidoda Duvha and has a two-year contract in Limpopo, however, as the end of the transfer draws closer it appears that it is Wits – not Chiefs – that currently sit in the driver’s seat in terms of his next destination.
