The Siya crew previously reported that Cameroonian striker, Eva Nga, had signed for the Clever Boys and was seen training with them recently, and now he has been officially unveiled by the club as they look to get back to winning ways tonight.
Now, with the club announcing the player, Siya sources have confirmed that he has now received his work permit to make his debut in the Absa Premiership, and is in contention to make Gavin Hunt’s side for this evening’s clash with Siwelele.
Speaking about their new hitman, Hunt enthused, “I’ve been watching Eva for some time now, and I like what I see. He was the top goalscorer in the Mozambican league so let’s see what transpires from here.”
Meanwhile, the club’s COO, Jonathan Schloss, said of their new striker, “We’re obviously delighted to welcome Eva: He’s an exciting striker whom we believe will thrive in our club environment. He certainly gives our coach Gavin Hunt additional ammunition up front and we have every belief that he can emulate the form shown in Mozambique.”
Nga finished as top scorer in Mozambique with 24 goals and landed the award for the Moçambola Player of the Season as he helped Cosa do Sol clinch another league title.
