Senegalese striker, Pape N’Daw, has stopped training with Bidvest Wits following his trial at the club, although is said to have impressed during his spell in Braamfontein.
The towering 21-year-old striker has been a free agent since leaving Dinamo Bucharest last year, and was given an extended trial at Wits earlier this month.
Now, after his trial came to an end, the Siya crew have been informed that the decision to sign him or not lies in the hands of the Clever Boys’ head coach, Gavin Hunt.
A Siya source said, “He’s stopped training now, but he looked good while he was with us. He’s big and strong, a real unit. It’s up to the coach to decide whether we sign him though.”
N’Daw featured in a couple of friendlies for Wits during the mid-season break, and his physical presence could be seen as a good addition as Wits look to do well in this year’s CAF Confederation Cup.
