Chippa United’s preparations for the second round of the season received a huge boost with the return of Bheki Nzunga to training.
The former Orlando Pirates defender, who had a promising start to his Chippa career with two successive starts at the beginning of the 2014/15 season, was delayed by a knee injury in his progress at the Port Elizabeth-based side.
Chippa CEO, Peter Koutroulis, confirmed to the Siya crew that Nzunga has recovered to be one of the players available for Ernst Middendorp to choose his line-up from for the game against University of Pretoria on February 10.
“According to the technical team, Bheki will be ready for the game against Tuks. I am very happy for this player. He is a very good and hardworking player. Bheki has surprised everybody here (with his recovery), which is why I say he will be ready for the Tuks game,” said Koutroulis.
The Chilli Boys are eighth on the Absa Premiership log with 22 points in 17 games.
