SuperSport United will be without captain, Bevan Fransman, when they take on Maritzburg United tomorrow night as he serves a one-game suspension.
The 30-year-old picked up a booking in the narrow Nedbank Cup win over Moroka Swallows last week, which means that he will not be available for selection against the Team of Choice.
Fransman has been a regular in Cavin Johnson’s team this season, with only defensive partner, Mor Diouf, having played more games than him.
Now Johnson will be forced to make a decision as to who comes in to replace the former Bafana Bafana international when they host Ernst Middendorp’s men at Lucas Moripe Stadium tomorrow night.
Thabo September, who recently made a comeback from injury, could be called upon to partner Diouf in the centre of defence, or Edwin Gyimah may be asked to deputise, with Johnson bringing him into a defensive role following his spell in the midfield.
