SuperSport United defender, Bevan Fransman, is expected to miss tomorrow night’s game against Free State Stars with an ankle injury.
The 30-year-old centre back missed Matsatsantsa’s last three games after sustaining the injury in the 1-0 win over Moroka Swallows in the Nedbank Cup, and is unlikely to recover in time for tomorrow night.
During his spell on the sidelines, Fransman served a one-game suspension after picking up his fourth yellow of the season against Swallows, though he could still face two or three weeks on the sidelines.
Fransman’s head coach, Cavin Johnson, confirmed that the defender was still struggling with his ankle injury, explaining that they don’t know how long he’ll be out for.
SuperSport travel to the Free State tomorrow to take on PSL strugglers, Ea Lla Koto, at Charles Mopeli Stadium at 18h00, knowing that a win could take them up to fourth if other results go their way.
