Best:

Evans Rusike: 7/10

The Zimbabwean striker was a menace from the onset and he troubled Thapelo Morena on a few occasions. He also scored a superb individual goal.

Siphesihle Ndlovu: 7/10

The midfielder put in a superb showing in the middle of the park and was fazed by the presence of Kekana and Mabunda. He also scooped up the Man of the Match award.

Kurt Lentjies: 6.5/10

The Maritzburg skipped did well to contribute in the attack for the Team of Choice, while he also worked hard off the ball.

Yannick Zakri: 7/10

Replaced Modise after 57 minutes and he managed to secure Sundowns a point with two well-taken goals in the closing stages.

Deolin Mekoa: 6.5/10

Mekoa was real threat for Maritzburg in the first half, as he picked up the assist for Onyango's opening goal. He also worked hard when Sundowns were dominating.

Brian Onyango: 6.5/10

Onyango provided a threat going forward down the flank and managed to frustrate Themba Zwane He also opened the scoring for Maritzburg.

Worst:

Thapelo Morena: 4/10

Struggled against Rusike for most of the game and hardly offered anything going forward.

Percy Tau: 4/10

Tau didn't have a bad game, he just was extremely quiet in the final third and had a tough time against the Maritzburg defenders.

Motjeka Madisha: 4/10

His communication with Bangaly was not good at times and the situation did not improve when Thabo Nthethe was introduced. He was also beaten by Rusike for Maritzburg's second goal.

Virgil Vries: 4/10

Took a knock in the first half and spent the rest of game in pain, which led to a number of stoppages. It was his error that led to Zakri's equaliser in the second half.
