Darren Keet: 7/10
Keet made crucial saves in the encounter, especially the one-on-one block against Justin Shonga just before halftime, while he had no problem in dealing with crosses coming into the box.
Xolani Mlambo: 7/10
Mlambo was a live wire for Pirates in midfield against his former side, spraying brilliant forward passes and came close to scoring with two long range strikes.
Vincent Pule: 6.5/10
Pule was also buzzing against his former team for most of the game, and he was unlucky not to score as he hit the post in the upright, although he did tire out towards the end.
Thabang Monare: 7.5/10
Monare’s energy in midfield kept the likes of Mlambo on their toes. He shielded his defence well as Wits played deeper as the game went. He also collected the Man of the Match accolade.
Robyn Johannes: 7/10
Johannes showed his experience in the heart of defence with some solid defending. His combination with Buhleb Mkhwanazi in the centre of defence was top class.
Buhle Mkhwanazi: 7/10
Mkhwanazi and Johannes were key to keeping a clean sheet for the visitors, as they did well to frustrate the Pirates attackers.
Augustine Mulenga: 4/10
Mulenga did not have a big impact as he would have hoped, as he struggled against Mkhwanazi and Johannes.
Ben Motshwari: 4/10
Motshwari was pedestrian against his former team. He struggled to influence the game going forward despite all of their possession.
Thobane Thopola: 5/10
Thopola offered very little going forward as a full-back, while a couple of Wits' attacks came down his flank.
Justin Shonga: 5/10
The Zambian looked lively in the early stages, but also squandered two good chances in the first half, while he failed to threaten in the second half.
