Best:

Themba Zwane: 8/10

Zwane was was brilliant in the deeper midfield role. He tormented the Lions of the North defence and capped his fantastic display with a great goal.

Thapelo Morena: 6.5/10

The converted wing back was playing as an out and out right winger in this match and he stretched Lions of the North left back Ayo Oluwafemi to the limit. Although he did

Percy Tau: 7/10

The left footed youngster was lively throughout the match and created really great goalscoring opportunities for his teammates.

Thabo Nthethe : 6.5/10

Nthethe was solid at the back and he stepped up to coolly convert a penalty that gave Masandawana a 2-0 lead.

Mothobi Mvala: 7/10

Mvala scored in stoppage time with a powerful header to make it 2-2 but was unfortunate as the draw was not enough to save Lions of the North from the drop. He also worked tirelessly against the likes of Zwane and Mohomi.

Seun Ledwaba: 6/10

Lions of the North left footed midfielder pulled one goal back for the home side to keep them in the game and he provided a good threat down the left flank.

Worst:

Sibusiso Vilakazi: 4/10

Vilakazi impressed during the week, but was very quiet against Highlands in the midfield.

Ayo Oluwafemi: 4/10

The Nigerian left-back was struggling to contain Masandawana flying winger Thapelo Morena and created gaps at the back whenever he went forward.

Tapuwa Kapini: 4/10

Lions of the North goalkeeper conceded a penalty in the first half and looked a little shaky under the high ball.

Anele Ngcongca: 5/10

Ngcongca struggled going forward and had a tough time dealing with Ledwaba down the flanks. He also could not finish the clash due to injury.
