Nthethe was solid at the back and he stepped up to coolly convert a penalty that gave Masandawana a 2-0 lead.
Mothobi Mvala: 7/10
Mvala scored in stoppage time with a powerful header to make it 2-2 but was unfortunate as the draw was not enough to save Lions of the North from the drop. He also worked tirelessly against the likes of Zwane and Mohomi.
Seun Ledwaba: 6/10
Lions of the North left footed midfielder pulled one goal back for the home side to keep them in the game and he provided a good threat down the left flank.
Sibusiso Vilakazi: 4/10
Vilakazi impressed during the week, but was very quiet against Highlands in the midfield.
Ayo Oluwafemi: 4/10
The Nigerian left-back was struggling to contain Masandawana flying winger Thapelo Morena and created gaps at the back whenever he went forward.
