Virgil Vries: 6.5/10

The keeper was alert to the Kaizer Chiefs attack and looked comfortable in dealing with aerial balls. Although not asked to make a lot of saves throughout the game but Vries was on hand to save when required.

Punch Masenamela: 7/10

The experience of Punch showed in the game as he was hardly beaten in one v one situations. He also provided Baroka with an outlet going forward and overall had a good game.

Abdi Banda: 6.5/10

The defender was solid at the back at times when Chiefs was looking for the equalizer.

Richard Matloga: 7/10

The winger pinned the Chiefs fullback Philani Zulu back through his constant attacks down the flank. He blazed the full back twice to create clear scoring chances which were squandered by team mates.

Hendrick Ekstein: 6.5/10

The skillful midfielder was Kaizer Chiefs’ most promising player on the night as he tried pulling the strings in midfield. However, what lacked was support from other attackers who failed to support him on the night.

Daniel Cardoso : 6/10

The defender was having a lot of work to do at the back to repel the Baroka attack. The player made few mistakes at the back but was strong in defending and dealing with attacks.

Bhongolethu Jayiya: 4/10

Jayiya had a bad night for Kaizer Chiefs. Apart from his set up for the Chiefs goal, he was non-existent for most parts of the night and did not offer much going forward for his side.

Kgotso Moleko: 5/10

The Kaizer Chiefs fullback was kept very busy on the night by the likes Macha and Moetsi who were taking him on consistently. He was unable to attack as much as he normally would and was not an option for Chiefs going forward.

George Maluleka: 5/10

Maluleka is usually a strong force in midfield but tonight was not his night. The midfielder hardly created chances and struggled against the skillful and energetic midfield of Baroka.

Philani Zulu: 4/10

Zulu struggled to get anything right on the night despite starting really well going forward. After being skinned twice by one man he stayed behind and was reluctant to attack and that minimised Chiefs’ attacks from the flanks.

Chiefs wait until they r under pressure & only then they begin to play. They seem not to hv a plan of their own approaching a particular game. They just respond to watever the other team is giving them. Mnxiiiiim!
