Best:

Khama Billiat: 7/10

Billiat’s quality made a huge difference in a match. He linked up well with Tau  on a couple occasions, which was evident in the winning goal.

Percy Tau: 7/10

Tau was was a handful to mark for the Citizens. He was a constant threat throughout the match and provided a wonderful assist to Billiat’s goal.

Thabo Nodada: 6/10

Nodada ran tirelessly in the match and kept the Brazilians’ defence on their toes with his energy and pace. He was unlucky to get an injury on the stroke of halftime after clashing with Denis Onyango.

Lyle Lakay: 6.5/10

Lakay played a blinder in this match. His left wing forays provided many crosses but City's forwards could not convert.

Thamsanqa Mkhize: 6.5/10

Mkhize was instrumental in the right full-back role. He was solid defensively and provided an attacking outlet as well.

Bangaly Soumahoro: 7/10

Soumahoro played a key role in the Brazilians keeping a clean-sheet. He was absolutely vital at the back with his imposing figure and organisational abilities.

Worst:

Jeremy Brockie: 4/10

The New Zealander was quiet in the match and barley had a sniff at goal.

Sibusiso Vilakazi: 4/10

Vilakazi was equally quiet. Masandawana played uncharacteristically deep in their own half and thereby making the midfielder's effect very minimal in the number 10 role.

Sibusiso Masina: 4/10

Masina struggled against the power of Soumahoro, and failed to capatlise on the many cross that flew into the Sundowns box.

Craig Martin: 5/10

Looked lively in the early stages, but ran out of steam in the latter periods of the match.
