Kaizer Chiefs’ Bernard Parker has admitted that he’s not playing his best football at present, but that he’s hungry to get back among the goals going forward.
The 28-year-old Amakhosi striker missed the start of the season after undergoing an ankle operation at the end of Chiefs’ last campaign, having to sit out the first four games.
However, since his return the forward has only managed to score four goals, with his last coming back in December during the 1-0 win over Chippa United.
In this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma, the Glamour Boys forward admitted that he’s not where he wants to be, saying, “Obviously, it's not my best. I didn't start the season with the rest of the team due to injury and when I recovered the team was doing very well.
“I had to be introduced bit by bit, but I am hungry for more goals. As a striker, that's my duty and I know I have to work hard to score goals for the team.”
