The Siya crew reported recently that Bernard Parker had agreed - in principle - a new contract with the Glamour Boys as he committed his future to the club, and it now appears that he has finally put pen to paper on that deal.
Chiefs confirmed Parker's one-year contract with a one-year option today via their official Twitter account, and it's a deal that could potentially take the forward beyond his 35th birthday as he reaches the twilight of his football career.
Parker, who will turn 33 next month, has been captaining the Amakhosi of late in the absence of both Itumeleng Khune, and he has responded by getting on the scoresheet in their recent win over Highlands Park.
He has scored in eight consecutive Absa Premiership campaigns for Chiefs since his return from Europe, and will now get the chance to extend that record to 10 in a row.
