Benni McCarthy will return to the Cape Town City bench when his side locks horns with Bidvest Wits for the fourth time this season.
The 40-year-old head coach faced a two-match suspension after being sent off by match officials, following a controversial incident during the Cape Town derby last month.
Now, after being absent from the technical area during his side’s previous two encounters against Bloemfontein Celtic and Mamelodi Sundowns, McCarthy will now return to the bench when his side will face off against the Students on Wednesday.
City will lock horns with Wits for the fourth time this season, having faced Head Coach Gavin Hunt once in the league so far and twice in the MTN8 competition, with City claiming victories in all three encounters.
The two sides will face off on Wednesday at the Bidvest Stadium in the first round of the Nedbank Cup competition, with indications that City are eager to progress further after an early exit in the recent Telkom Knockout Cup.
