Benni McCarthy has revealed that he has many injury concerns ahead of his side’s clash against Orlando Pirates this evening.
The Citizens suffered a 4-1 loss to Kaizer Chiefs at the Cape Town Stadium on the weekend, with the likes of Thamsanqa Mkhize and Craig Martin all picking up knocks during the encounter.

In addition, with Taariq Fielies also set to miss the Citizens’ two upcoming matches, McCarthy explained that he is forced to make changes following the injury concerns.
“Probably lose (Thamsanqa) Mkhize as well because he’s been struggling throughout the game and I just got the news that he’s been seeing the medics, he suffered an allergic reaction to medicine. So he will be out, Craig Martin played with a massive ball at the back of the head because he got smashed as he gets every game and nothing was done, so I got a couple of players that might not be available for (Orlando) Pirates,” McCarthy told the media.
City will lock horns with Pirates at the Orlando Stadium this evening in an Absa Premiership clash.
