Defender Mzokhona Ngezana has explained how former Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United midfielder Bennett Chenene facilitated his move to Côte d'Ivoire.
Chenene has been in West Africa since August last year, where he is reviving his career with Williamsville Athletic Club (WAC).
Ngezana has since joined Chenene at the same club, and speaking to the Siya crew, the older brother of Kaizer Chiefs defender Siyabonga Ngezana explained how his homeboy from Sebokeng facilitated his move.
“Bennett Chenene knows me very well and there was a time that we played together for a local team during a December tournament. As a senior player, he is one of the people encouraging me in my football career,” Ngezana told the Siya crew.
“He is the one who recommended me to the team after seeing that they were struggling for results and we (are) bottom on the log. He likes my qualities as a centre-back and he recommended that the club should look at me. The communication with the club was started and we agreed on everything and here I am,” the 27-year-old added.
