Nothing less than a win will see Chiefs progress to the final of this season’s MTN8, however last season’s PSL champions will be on Bucs’ home turf this afternoon.
Addressing the media at a press conference, coach Stuart Baxter said that Chiefs will go out and play attacking football, as they target their first trophy of the 2013/14 campaign on the back of a league and cup double winning season.
“We are only focussed on a win. Going into this game you don't think about either a draw or a loss so it is no different from us. I know we had an extra day of rest but it will only count if we use it.
Baxter said that he rested some of his players on the weekend ahead of today’s game, however would not reveal if he would be fielding two or three central defenders.
“I rested some of the players on Saturday because I didn't want to risk injuries on some of them but even those who played did very well. Today we will have to go out there and attack and no matter which system we use, whether three or two centre backs, our wing players will be pushing up and help in attack. We need a win today,” concluded Baxter.
