With Kaizer Chiefs’ preseason training camp in Nelspruit nearing an end, the club’s head coach has praised his ranks for their ‘fantastic’ attitude.
The Glamour Boys had their preparations interrupted somewhat with the news that their game with Egyptian side, Ismaily SC, had been cancelled, however they quickly organised a game with Swazi team, Mbabane Swallows, for the same day.

Chiefs’ head coach has explained that his team have been working hard as they prepare for their 2013/14 campaign, insisting that they’ve had a good work out.
Speaking to the Amakhosi’s official website Baxter said, “The players have been fantastic from day one. There have been challenges with one of the games being cancelled but all they want is just to train. They have been working twice as hard.
“We have managed to secure a game this coming weekend against a team from Swaziland (Mbabane Swallows). We hope to use the opportunity to see how far the players have gone since our first day here.
“I welcomed them back yesterday after the training session, I simply said; “Welcome Guys”. We had already had 10 sessions but I felt for the first time that we had a good work out with everyone involved following the absence of the internationals, injured players and trialists. We will from now onward step up our preparations.”
One setback for Chiefs is the injury to defender, Erick Mathoho, and the club is currently waiting to see how serious the damage to his finger is.
