Kaizer Chiefs coach, Stuart Baxter, says that this weekend’s PSL clash between Amakhosi and Mamelodi Sundowns, will not be a title decider.
The two teams go head-to-head on Saturday night as the Amakhosi look to open up a six point gap on second-placed Sundowns, while their opponents seek to go level with the league leaders.
Baxter’s side are currently three points clear of Downs, with a game in hand, and a win on Saturday could possibly see them put one hand on this year’s PSL trophy.
However, the Englishman has played down the importance of the game, saying that he hasn’t even calculated what points tally Chiefs need in order to win the league.
“The Sundowns game is not the league decider but it will give the winning team the momentum.
“I have not looked at the points and calculated how many points needed to win the league, but we’ve said this at the beginning of the season that two points per game will be enough.”
Meanwhile, it looks set that goalkeeper and captain, Itumeleng Khune, will return to the sticks for Amakhosi after being named in the side's 18-man squad during last night's 2-0 win over Golden Arrows.
