With talk of Kaizer Chiefs head coach Stuart Baxter being handed a new contract by the club, the Siya crew took a look at his Amakhosi record so far.
Baxter joined the Glamour Boys in May 2012 and has already handed them two trophies, namely the Absa Premiership and the Nedbank Cup, qualifying them for the 2014 CAF Champions League in the process.

The recent 3-0 win over Polokwane City in the Telkom Knockout was Baxter’s 47th competitive game in charge of the club and handed them their 25th victory under his tenure.

That gives Baxter a win percentage of just around 53%, since taking over at Naturena, and with only seven of those 47 games ending in defeat, he has lost just 15% of all the competitive games he has taken charge of.
Of those 47, 15 (32%) of them have ended in draws for Chiefs and Baxter’s side have lost just four league games over the course of the 2012/13 and 2013/14 season so far.
Baxter will take charge of his 50th game in the next few weeks and he will no doubt be keen to add a third trophy to his Amakhosi collection.
Looking at the statistics behind Baxter’s reign so far, do you think he deserves a new contract?
