With the Absa Premiership resuming tonight, following the Africa Cup of Nations break, log leaders Kaizer Chiefs will look to continue with their surge for the league title.
The Soweto giants head to Loftus Stadium tonight where they will be welcomed by Mamelodi Sundowns. Although Amakhosi have dominated the PSL this season, the tie against the Brazilians will be a challenging affair and coach Stuart admits that professional football is very demanding.
Baxter told the Siya crew that all teams are under constant pressure, whether they are at the top of the log or at the bottom. He said that for them to maintain their lead at the top of the table, they have to manage that pressure.
“Football is a pressure game. Whether you are doing well or not, you will be under pressure to perform. What we have to do is go out there at take each game as it comes. We should not be ahead of ourselves by thinking about the end of the season.
“We should think of Mamelodi Sundowns first, deal with them and move on. That's how it should be, then we can maintain our lead. We would love to come back un-scratched from Sundowns, but we have to play the game tonight and take it from there,” said Baxter.
