Former Wits defender Timothy Batabaire is hoping to return to the PSL in the 2013/14 season. Batabaire spent the second round of last season with Vasco da Gama in the NFD.
The Ugandan last played in the PSL during his time with Wits in the 2011/12 season. He struggled to get a club in the 2012/13 campaign until he signed with Vasco earlier this year.
Batabaire’s representative Benjee Nkhatho confirmed to the Siya crew that the player is keen to return to the elite league.
“Batabaire would like to go back to the PSL. He is a free agent at the moment,” said Nkhatho.
Batabaire trained with a few PSL clubs, including Moroka Swallows and AmaZulu, before his move to Vasco. The 31-year-old will hope for luck in his search for greener pastures next season.
Batabaire has also played for Bloemfontein Celtic and SC Villa of Uganda.
