Soccer-Laduma can confirm that veteran goalkeeper Arthur Bartman has signed up with Maritzburg United as the club's new goalkeeper coach.
Bartman became a free agent after his contract with Kaizer Chiefs expired at the end of last season but decided to hang up his gloves as a player.
The Team of Choice, though, were interested in using the 41-year-old's experience by roping him in as a goalkeeper coach, following the departure Ronnie Kanalelo who went back to Namibia to take up a role with the national team, the Brave Warriors.
Bartman joins United with immediate effect and will be reporting to training tomorrow where he will take his place as part of Ernst Middendorp's technical team as they prepare for the new season.
The news was reported earlier today on the Soccer-Laduma web and mobi site and Bartman himself has confirmed to the Siya crew that the deal has been completed.
