Baroka have added an exciting young defender to their ranks after agreeing a deal to land a South African international…
The Siya crew have been informed that Denwin Farmer, 22, has penned a contract with Bakgaga ahead of the 2019/20 season after the two clubs agreed a deal for the centre back, and he will now be hoping to hit the ground running with a full pre-season under his belt.
Farmer, who has Absa Premiership, CAF Confederation Cup and international experience, was unlucky with a recurring shoulder injury last season, but he’s now fit and ready to start a new chapter in Limpopo.
Siyavuma Sports Group, the player’s agency, confirmed the news saying, “It’s an exciting time for Denwin as he looks to get more regular game-time in the coming season… He was unfortunate with his shoulder last time out, but that’s all sorted now and he’s raring to go.
“He enjoyed his time in Maritzburg, but he’s been chasing more minutes in the Absa Premiership and this should be a big chance for him to get them under Coach Wedson.”
Despite his age, Farmer already has two Nedbank Cup wins, and MTN8 title and a CCC runners-up medal to his name.
